Pint to pint running (Week Notes, 14, 2025)
Week notes up to and including Sunday 6 April 2025, covering week 14 of 2025.

Cathedral to Castle 2025
We returned to the Cathedral to Castle for a second year. This is a 10-mile point to point run, from Lichfield (Cathedral) to Tamworth (Castle), and then onto the fantastic Tamworth Tap. Last year I was running jet lagged, so it was nice to be back and a bit more aware of my surroundings this year. It's a grand day out on a mix of terrain, and a perfect step up run for anyone building to Spring/Summer half marathons.
Get yourself booked in for 2026.

We also ran.
Trigger's Macbook
I wrote up a little bit about reviving my old MacBook Pro.
Links for the week
These are the links that struck a chord with me this week.
Bryan's Gunn revealed some insights into how he makes his video series, and launched his work supporting Trussell Trust:

I'm not in love with the frame of "a good side project"—it's discursively too close to "side hustle", it's edging productivity-speak and grindset mentality—but that aside this is a nice piece about remembering to find time to do something for yourself.

Eject Desk is "a declaration. A reckoning. And a call to return to ourselves before we try to rebuild anything else". Some of you might need it. For the rest of us, it's a lovely old fashioned feeling web page.

Pure joy:
Here's a fun piece by The Dispatch, the Birmingham+Black Country newsletter from Mill Media:

And that's it for now! 👋
